GENERAL:
-
Applications for OCI are accepted in the Embassy of India, Caracas, only
from residents of Venezuela and the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba.
Proof of residence (copy of driving licence or utility bill or bank
statement) should accompany the application.

All adult
(18 years and older) applicants should sign in the front page signature
box. Non-signed applications will not be processed.

Applicants may
use
Internet Explorer for
Online Registration. Other browsers may have a problem saving the data
in the application.

Applicants are required to
register the applications online before mailing. Non-registered
applications will not be processed and returned to the applicant.
-
Clear photographs
are required. Applications remain pending because of poor
quality photographs.
-
Copy of
proof of residence is required (copy of driving licence/utility
bill/bank statement/lease agreement).
-
Keep a
copy of OCI application (also note down the Reference Number) before
sending the online registered forms to the Embassy.
-
Children
born outside India and whose parents are Indian passport holders are not
eligible for OCI Cards. They can apply for OCI after attaining majority
(18 years of age).

STEP 1:

Read

STEP 2:
-
Click
Online Registration
and complete the form (Part-A) online.

When you
have completed filling in Part-A, click
Save.
A
Print Window
will appear. Click
OK
to print out your application form consisting of Part-A (which has been
completed as Online Registration). The blank form of Part-B will
automatically print itself. Applicants may mention the
name of country
in the field
Place of Birth
(e.g., India, UK, USA; and NOT village, town or state).

Applicant
must then complete Part-B, preferably TYPED. It may also be
handwritten but in CAPITAL LETTERS, with Blue or Black Ink.

The
completed application form (Part-A and Part-B) must be submitted in
duplicate to the Embassy. Applicants may print the
CHECK LIST
and send it with the application for expeditious scrutiny and granting.

The
Applicant should send self-attested copies of the documents. The
foreign passport and PIO Card can be sent at the time of collecting OCI
card. (When applicants send attested copies of the passport, only a copy
of the first page should be sent in case of foreign passports; in case
of Indian passports, copies of pages containing vital information, i.e.,
first three pages and the last two pages may be sent. (Visa pages or
blank pages should not be sent).

Application Fee is US $275 per applicant. A bank draft in favour of the
EMBASSY OF INDIA for US $275 (Bs.F 1,375) for each application [US $145
(Bs.F 725) for each MINOR PIO Card holder and US $25 (Bs.F 125) for each
adult PIO Card holder]. Fee in Venezuelan Bolivar (Bs.F) may be
deposited directly into the Embassy of India account with Banco
Provincial and bank receipt submitted with the application. No cash or
personal cheques are accepted.
NOTES
FOR PIO CARD HOLDERS:

Holders
are required to surrender the PIO Card in order to receive an OCI Card.

Holders
must submit a notarized copy of the PIO Card with the OCI application.
-
Birth
certificate of foreign born children. It should indicate the name of
both parents. This may be attested by either of the parents.
