JUSTIFICATION
Which are the reasons to create a chair named India in the 21st Century in the land of Bolivar ? The reasons which justified its creation are so numerous and powerful as those that would justify the creation of a chair about Venezuela Today in the land of Gandhi .
In the framework of the current projects of cooperation and integration of Southern countries, it is essential the development of the ways of knowing the realities of the nations in the region, in order to have more possibilities of cooperation and integration between them. India is without question one of the twomore important nations of the so called Third World in all terms – political, economical, demographical, technological, and scientific, among other fields. Therefore, it is a priority the establishment in Venezuela of a chair dedicated to the study of the achievements and reality of India nowadays, consequence of its past and present.
In order to fulfill the objectives mentioned before, the chair must be concentrated in the study of the implemented, strategies of development, the integration of education and investigation within the companies, the culture, the ethnic groups and the history of India. Regarding the economical politics implemented recently, it is very important the study of the thought of the Independence 's philosophers, as its democratic model, which is an example for the world, since our country is the democracy with more qualitative and quantitative weight in the international scenario.
For the Embassy of the Republic of India is an honor to take the initiative and offer this chair to the consideration of the university students of the nation of Bolivar, since giving honors to others is a way to honor ourselves, and our purpose is to tighten fraternal bounds due to the contributions these countries have given to each other in the past. India in the 21st Century defines itself as continuously and permanently changing country; this is its greatest cultural and national peculiarity, as a result of the constant dialogue between tradition and modernity.
A Chair/ Study Courses identified with present times represents a starting point for us to present our progress to university students and the Venezuelan people; debates and perspectives that will let us gain mutual enriching experiences in the most extensive dimension, establishing an exchange of knowledge about the economic modernization based on our own joint and individualized experiences.
Another aspect to highlight about India is the putting into operation of reforms in the public and private sector, and the opening of the industrial sector in the late 80's and beginning of the 90's of the last Century. These measures allowed the definitive activation of the potentiality of self-supplying and expansion of our technologies in every productive sector, expanding in this way a coherent industrialization which emphasizes every day the present of the immediate future. We are confronting the future with courage, since our fathers, who fought for the Independence , taught us that the rising of the minimal conditions of humanity and socialization of our people are essential conditions for our permanence in the future. Therefore, the current proposal to create a chair for a creative debate and constructive dialogue, hopes to open doors and windows with a fraternal spirit of sincere brotherhood, charged with fresh and transparent airs which can mutually rescue our collective memory.
This Chair/ Study Courses is a fecund land to fertilize the development of science and technology, it is a fecund land for communications, it is a fecund land to foment cultures, it is a fecund land to understand peace thoughts, tolerance, non violence and love based in active solidarity towards greater integration. It is a brother territory for those who understand that the global development of humanity can not be based on the exclusion and separation of peoples. India and Venezuela must intensify their fight against underdevelopment and the new mechanisms of neo-colonization. The fruits of this Chair will be varied according to the benefits emanated from our interinstitutional will of action.
