VENEZUELAN ADVENTURERS TRAVELING ACROSS INDIA

With over 19,000 km to cover, the team composed of adventurers Tony Velasquez, Enrique Suarez and Rafael Gonzales are finalizing the details for their new adventure: to explore India. The trip will officially start in September although in the coming days the Hummer H1 vehicle utilized for these journeys will be embarked for India . This vehicle constitutes the civiian image of the famous all terrain vehicle now marketed by General Motors. The adventurers offered details of their next goodwill mission and pointed out that this is a major expedition. They had words of gratitude for the companies and institutions that sponsor the journey and in a very special way for the Ambassador of India in Caracas, Deepak Bhojwani, for the great collaboration toward the success of the expedition. The diplomat was present at the presentation of the journey. Other special guests were Eglee Martinez , Vice-president of the United Nations Venezuela Association and Nilea de Ochoa, President of Deltaven. Tony Velasquez, leader of the expeditionary group, said that the journey consists of three stages: the first, to embark the Hummer H1 2003 bound for India; the second, the route and development of cultural, scientific and social exchanges in the territory to be visited; and in closing, the return via the United States, where the Hummer H1 will receive maintenance by the manufacturer AM Federal Corporation. Velasquez explained that for this trip the manufacturer added new equipment to the Hummer, mainly to observe its performance, highlighting the use of the latest night vision technology.
