Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Meets President Hugo Chavez at NAM Summit in Havana Dr. Manmohan Singh Prime Minister of the Republic of India , attended the 14th Non-Aligned Movement Summit held in Havana from 11 to 16 September 2006, at the head of the Indian delegation. During his visit, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had a meeting with His Excellency Mr. Hugo Chavez, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela , at which the relevance of the Non-Aligned Movement, new areas for bilateral economic cooperation and issues in bilateral relations were discussed. Both leaders agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the coming months and years. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh visited Havana after a visit to Brasilia on 11-14 September 2006, during which he also attended a meeting of the India-Brazil-South Africa (IBSA) trilateral group.
