Curacao is the capital of Netherlands Antilles.  There are about 800 Indians, most of whom are in business.

Curacao is a Free Trade Zone in which imports can be freely made and re-exported without any duty except for a turnover tax of 2%.  The majority of the businesses in the Free Trade Zone is owned by the Indians.  They deal mostly with electronic items, jewellery, household items, garments, etc.  Some of them have already started importing from India and they are interested in expanding and diversifying their imports from India.

Community Activities:

The Indian Community in Curaçao has constructed an extremely impressive
Hindu temple with statues of Indian deities for community worship and
activities inaugurated on April 2004. -
