EXTENSION OF SHORT VALIDITY PASSPORT In cases, where the passport has been issued for one year or lower validity, the validity of such a passport can be extended up to the normal validity of 10 years. Application form along with two photographs should be submitted. In such cases, validity will be extended only on receipt of clearance from the original passport issuing authority, and if the Embassy is otherwise satisfied about other aspects of the case. No fee is required in this case except the mailing charges. Applicants should make enquiries only after 30 days from the date of submission of the application.
